Scandtag Film TC is a protected direct chemi-thermal label, which is a woodfree paper with a coating of - thermosensitive dyes which turn black when heated. - There is a top coating which protects the label surface and thermally printed images from above, against - contaminants such as moisture, oil, grease and plasticisers from films. - Scandtag Film TC can be printed by water based and UV inks and varnishes designed for use with direct - thermal papers. - The core consist of an OPP 40 μm film reinforcment, for improved tear and tensile strength. - Reverse side is uncoated and has a smooth, matt finish, suitable for printing with all conventional roll conversion - technologies. - It is recommended that customers assess both the pre-print and the overprint characteristics under end use - conditions before proceeding to long runs.

Food Packaging Applications: The adhesive raw materials are listed under European/US food packaging regulations (BgVV XIV or FDA 21 175.105) and are safe for use in limited contact with foodstuffs. Toy and Packaging Regulations: The materials used have been tested and comply with the current heavy metals regulations EN71-3 Safety of Toys and the UK Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations 1998.
